Hawaiian Hurricane Group uses a detailed, feature based, underwriting technique known as FURA (Feature Underwriting Rating Approach). FURA rates on structure features such as foundation, roof type, improvements & alterations rather than age. This attention to detail helps you save money!
Homeowners Insurance Product
Hawaiian Hurricane Group and Hyundai Marine & Fire (US Branch) launched our Homeowners Insurance product in the spring of 2022 as a Companion policy to our industry disrupting Hurricane Insurance.
Our goal from the beginning was to create something different, to create something that recognized and honored the unique nature and incredible diversity of these islands we call home. We do not believe in a ‘me too’ / do as the mainland does, approach. Innovation, through product differentiation specific to Hawaii, is what we believe brings the most value to our Hawaiian customers. Like our innovative approach to hurricane insurance, HHG’s new Homeowners Insurance product captures the unique needs of Hawaii and has been custom built for the Hawaiian market. We are proud that it is utterly different from anything that currently exists!
